Peace building on a macro level: the integration of mediation and organisational/community development
The phenomenology and symptomathology of conflicts in a micro-social, meso-social and makro-social field shows many similarities, but the mediations – according to the possibilities and limits of the different size of the social “arena” – have to designed very differently. Especially because differences between cultures of the conflicts’ stakeholders aren’t able to be resolved with methods, which would be promising in a micro-social field. In the actual work in current areas of crisis and war, it turned out that creating a comprehensive and lasting process of peace requires a “Community- and Organization-Development”. Concepts and methodic entries are being introduced.

Die Phänomenologie und Symptomatologie von Konflikten im mikro-sozialen, meso-sozialen und makro-sozialen Feld weist zwar viele Ähnlichkeiten auf, aber die Mediations-Ansätze müssen - entsprechend den Möglichkeiten und Grenzen der unterschiedlich großen "sozialen Arena" - doch sehr unterschiedlich gestaltet werden. Noch dazu, wo Kulturunterschiede zwischen den Stakeholders der Konflikte im selben Feld nicht mit Methoden aufzulösen sind, die im mikro-Rahmen durchaus erfolgversprechend sind. In der praktischen Arbeit in aktuellen Krisen- und Kriegsgebieten hat sich gezeigt, dass für die Gestaltung eines umfassenden und nachhaltigen Friedensprozesses die Kompetenz für "Community- and Organization-Development" entscheidend ist. Dafür werden Konzepte und methodische Zugänge vorgestellt.
